July 4th: Friends and Fireworks

What a fun day! A day as a family - great friends - beautiful weather!
We went to Germantown for their parade and ate a picnic lunch. We were able to spend the whole day with some of our very best friends: Jeremy, Ann, and Caitlin Levan.

Dylon was happy -- just let him EAT!
Braden and Caitlin enjoyed hanging out in the wagon together. They especially loved all the candy that was thrown to them during the parade!

We headed home for some cool air and naps. The 3 kids were having such a fun day together. So were their Daddys and Mommys! Friendships are such a special treasure!!

After dinner at home, we headed back to Germantown for some fireworks.

Sparklers were introduced for the first time this year -- Braden and Dylon were mesmerized!

The fireworks started. Braden was sure he had the best seat in the house. But, as he got more and more sleepy he found it hard to sit still. So a place on the blanket beside Daddy become his favorite spot. He loved the bright lights and wasn't bothered by the loud booms -- "Noise, Daddy".

Dylon wasn't bothered by the noises either. He fell asleep snuggling with Mommy and slept right through the fireworks. I usually love to watch the fireworks, but found myself focused elsewhere this year. Hmm, can you guess which 3 boys I was watching?!
