Missing Daddy

I had a "sad" day today. Definately missing my husband and best friend. It is hard to not be with him and share life together on a daily basis. And the boys miss him too. Dylon called for him in the car this morning all the way to church. "Da-Da" "DAaa - DAaa" To which Braden replied (over and over) "Daddy at work, Baby!". And at nap time today, Dylon called for his Dada for 40 minutes before drifting off to sleep. At least I'm not alone in my lonely heart! But, I'm thankful that I have an incredible husband and a wonderful daddy to my kids that we can and want to miss!

Dylon is growing and changing so much lately. He is walking around more and more. Still just across the room and then he tumbles down or lunges towards the arms of someone waiting for him. But, he's starting to enjoy it more. He is also talking and saying new words every day. Today he asked for Apples and Cookies. And of course his Brother! It is so fun to hear his little voice each day.

Jan 31: Houses and Museum

We went back to look at our 2 favorite houses this morning. And we are definitely in love with one. It is so big and beautiful. Perfect layout for our family! But, it is bank owned so we can’t make an offer contingent upon our house. We are praying for our WI house to sell FAST!
And then, this afternoon, we got a showing scheduled on our house for tomorrow from 10-11. What a miracle and so cool of God if these were the buyers for our house! Perfect timing. We are trying not to get our hopes up and yet to continue to trust and believe.

We went to the Denver Museum of Natural History today to see the Dinosaur exhibit. It was fun to have spend the time there with Grandpa (Trista's dad) and Grandma.

Braden has been looking forward to it ALL week! When we got there, we were greeted by a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex. As I was signing up for our membership (come visit and we’ll take you!), Braden informed Daddy that “that dinosaur doesn’t know how to walk”. “Why not?” Daddy asked. “He’s not wearing any shoes!” Apparently, Braden has surmised from his experiences with Dylon that anyone not wearing shoes can’t walk yet. Hmm, I don’t think that big T-rex would find it quite as amusing as we all did! He'd probably be more interested in a little boy for lunch!

Another memorable moment occurred when we saw a small dinosaur that was “sad”. Braden explained the this dinosaur had his head down because he was sad because he didn’t have any friends. All the other dinosaurs around it were larger like mommy’s and daddy’s. I wonder if this is a expression of what Braden is feeling as he misses all his WI friends.
