7/7: Teddy Bear Picnics & Finger Paints

The boys and I went down to Colorado Springs today for some fun with Ma & Pa.

Woodmen Valley (their church) was having a teddy bear picnic for the kids. Braden and Boof were excited to go! I'm not sure who had the most fun though? Boof (the bear)? Braden? or Ma!!! From story time, bear ears craft, bear doctor visit, games ... even a bear shaped sandwich for lunch. What a special event to watch my son and mom share together.

We stayed overnight with them too. After dinner, Ma pulled out the finger paints! I was actually quite suprised. My normally messy Dylon was less than thrilled to get dirty and quickly was bored and moved on to eating a popsicle instead. However, Braden - Mr. Clean - was very excited with the paints and enjoyed purposefully getting it all over him. Needless to say, baths were in order before bed that night!

Finger painting -- the perfect "grandparent" activity!

Ready for a popsicle ... with a little paint!

Mr. Clean?
